Learning languages from an early age contributes to a child’s cognitive development and is socially and educationally beneficial. At Coruña British International School our pupils are immersed in the English language from 3 years old onwards and also get the opportunity to learn Spanish, French and Galician. Our pupils are encouraged to participate in a wide range of international events, activities and exchanges which help them to understand the benefits of interacting with the international community and opens their eyes to the infinite possibilities that lie ahead of them.
At Coruña British International School, we aim to prepare our students for a truly international future, encouraging them to appreciate, enjoy and immerse themselves in language and culture. Our curriculum is delivered principally in English, and pupils are encouraged to speak English at all times as they are moving around the school, but some classes are also taught in Spanish, French and Galician. Our teachers are highly-qualified native and bilingual speakers, with experience in both British and International schools.Find out more

“The choice of the school is a decision that is mainly stressful to the parents. However in our case we dispel the doubts as soon as they announced the opening of the first British School in Coruña.
Due to the current geopolitical and social situation, unfortunately there are still those who think that a British School is a good option because children “go out speaking English” but that is ONLY the surface of a GREAT system. A system in which each student is unique and has its own objectives in the different areas of knowledge. It is a comprehensive and personalized education. Our experience at CBS is extraordinary and together, teachers and parents work for the good development of each student.
As a mother it is wonderful and rewarding to see how ALL school staff is involved in stimulating and promoting students, day by day, to discover the world, to excel, to develop their creativity, independence and responsibility, making learning stimulating and that they “Be the best you can be.”
